Colorado Domestic Violence Crisis And Support Resources

Colorado Unemployment Insurance Laws for Victims of Domestic Violence.
Passed in 2000, Title 8, Article 73, subsection 108, provides that in certain circumstances, domestic violence victims are eligible for full award of benefits. Quitting a job because of domestic abuse may be reason for a full award if (A) you have a copy of a police report, criminal charges, protection order, medical records or other evidence documenting the abuse; (B) you provide written notice that you are receiving assistance or counseling from a recognized counseling entity for domestic abuse; and (C) you have not received benefits under this section within the prior three years.
