Employment Opportunities: CALIFORNIA San Diego CHILD & FAMILY SPECIALIST Children's Hospital & Health Center of San Diego The Child & Family Specialist in Trauma Counseling works under the supervision of the Team Leader/Lead Social Worker to provide the following services: Provides outreach and support services to families exposed to domestic violence and abuse. Supports families through the legal process, to include accompanying them to court, providing transportation and interacting with personnel from other agencies and various court jurisdications. Serves as an advocate, skills coach, and role model for families. Provides emotional support to victims and their families and makes appropriate referrals to outside agencies.
